I felt on the whole that I was cared for whilst being a patient at this hospital. The times I felt that I was having to ask on a number of occasions for assistance was due to the fact the team was understaffed.
Like with any group of people there are always one or two that let the side down. I felt a couple of the nursing staff were just too harassed to be dealing with what they would class as minor issues but to a sick patient thought of very differently. I also felt on occasion that the nursing assistants were not being monitored and thus were not doing a great job.
However the majority of nursing/care staff were doing a marvelous job under very difficult circumstances.

Although this hospital is 'old fashioned' when compared to others, with long corridors making it less convenient for patients who need to move between different departments, staff are friendly and very helpful.

Attended what was a busy clinic. Consultant was running late which was explained on arrival and I was offered a 'bleep' should i wish to go have a cup of coffee while I waited. Even though they were under pressure the Staff remained cheerful and attentive. Building itself is ok but beginning to look a bit tired.

The hospital is looking scruffy and a little tired. I feel the cleaning is superficial rather than deep down. Even the staff are not well turned out which reflects poorly on the hospital.

My 5 year old son was undergoing surgery, we both felt at ease and were treated perfectly. Thank you.

The hospital was not dirty but the buiding are quite old and thats why I did not give 100%

It is my local hospital and I have never been unhappy with any of the care that either I or members of my family have received as in or out patients. Staff in Appliances, xray and the blood test department are also very helpful and put you at ease.
